Mares

Quality. Trainability. Temperament.

Our broodmares possess all these traits and more!
These ladies have the pedigree and minds that pass onto their offspring.
All of our mares are handled regularly. It's important we know our mares well before they are bred.

We breed for quality, not quantity.

Hazel was bred by Bar 2A Haflingers in Hanceville, British Columbia.

She is sired by Bandito and out of a mare named Helena.
Hazel has shown that she is a great mover, responsive, willing and light.
Hazel was started under saddle and blew us away with her trainability and calm manner. Her 4th ride was in our wedding ceremony!
She has shown great capability on trail rides, with novice riders and was shown in the American Haflinger Alliance virtual show in the summer of 2021.
Hazel is 6 panel N/N including negative for the Squamous Cell Carcinoma gene.

Nutmeg was bred by Bar 2A Haflingers in Hanceville, British Columbia.

She is sired by Bandito and out of a mare named Nyssa TLF.
Nutmeg is finer boned and less drafty than her half-sister Hazel, but has still shown herself to be strong and resilient.
Nutmeg was lightly started under saddle in the fall of 2022 and showed a great, calm mind and took everything in stride. She is supposed to be a driving team mate with her sister Hazel, and will likely begin training for that in 2023.
Nutmeg will be genetically tested in 2024.
